A co-product from the manufacture of whiskey. EORNASYRUP comprises mainly of yeast cells and residues from malted barley after alcohol is distilled off the fermented wort by the high temperature in the copper stills.

Finisher 4-5kg/hd/day

Suckler Cattle: Has successfully been used as the sole ‘concentrate’ feed for incalf suckler cows on a straw diet. Additional energy may be required after calving

Handling & storage

Eornasyrup is delivered in bulk liquid tankers. Tanks should be built to hold and dispatch bulk liquids. They should be cleaned out regularly to prevent a build-up of sediment. 4 inch diameter pipework is adequate.

Tanks should be built to hold and dispatch bulk liquids and they should be cleaned out from time to time to ensure no build-up of sediment. 4 inch diameter pipework is adequate. Tanks need to be located and equipped so that filling them can be carried out in safe conditions and surroundings.
