Meet the Team

Jim comes from a family farm background in Co Kildare. After leaving school, Jim went to UCD School of Agriculture and achieved a B Agr. Sc (Hons) in 1985. For 13 years Jim worked in a leading Agricultural Merchant as General Manager.

In 1998, Jim joined Forage Systems as Managing Director and continued to grow the business which later became Specialist Nutrition with the development of moist and liquids feeds market. Specialist Nutrition is now the leading supplier of high-quality feeds and supplements to progressive dairy and beef farmers in Ireland and the UK.

Jim is a member of the Agricultural Science Association, Irish Farmers Association and Irish Holsten and Friesian Association.

Terence comes from a family farming beef and tillage background in Co. Laois. After finishing school, Terence studied at UCD School of Agriculture and achieved a BAgrSc in 2009.

To date, Terence's career has been focused on the animal nutrition and animal health sectors.

Having joined Specialist Nutrition in 2021, Terence has a keen interest in the continued development and progression of Irish farming and agricultural industry.

Pat comes from a dairy background and has worked extensively in the agricultural industry for over 20 years. Working with Specialist Nutrition in the Cork and Kerry region for the past 6 years he has helped dairy and beef farmers to maximise their potential.

Nigel’s family farming background in animal and crop production prompted him to study Agricultural Science at University College Dublin, Ireland.

Nigel worked in the UK as a dairy and beef nutritionist before joining Specialist Nutrition in 2017 as Liquid Feed Manager for Ireland. He specialises in the areas of dairy farm management, beef farm management, and dairy cow signals. Nigel loves the challenge of maximizing farm potential and has seen first hand the results for his Farmers from using Specialist Nutrition moist and liquid feeds, and how this high-quality, nutritious animal feed fit into a TMR diet.

From a mixed dairy and beef enterprise farm in Cork. Studied animal and crop production in UCD. Then completed the agricultural graduate programme and also worked as an area sales manager for two years with Dairygold Co-op before joining Specialist Nutrition as an area manager and dairy nutritionist.

Ben hails from a family farming background in Co. Tyrone. He has 9 years of experience in the agricultural industry working for a large feed mill in Northern Ireland. Ben is qualified in Dairy Cow Signals and possesses a Diploma in Ruminant Nutrition which he attained following studies at Harper Adams University. He enjoys working closely with farmers to help maximise animal performance.
